Missions :

So, today was the day that Eio Aijin had set aside to focus on doing a few simplistic missions around the village. He had no wish to prolong these rudimentary missions, but he also knew that should he complete them at a satisfactory level, he would be able to get money and a bit of influence in the village. He had prepared a few missions to complete today, but he supposed that it wouldn't really matter what order he took on the missions in, just that he completed them as efficiently as possible. He took out the scroll that held his first mission brief. So, his first mission would be to lend his aid to a Ramen stand dealer who had recently fired an employee for stealing. He was to make a delivery to one of his more elite clientele. He arrived and picked up the order quickly enough and he assumed the owner was either too happy to have the help or didn't know who he was as he didn't make any snide remarks about having an Aijin help him. Either way, it didn't matter. He would make his way through the streets and then drop it off at the clients house. Once he received pay for the food and then for the mission once he turned it back in to the chef.

After he finished with his delivery for the Ramen stand owner, he decided it was the right time to begin his next mission of taking care of the garden of a farmer who lived just on the outskirts of the village. He simply needed to water a garden and pick a few blueberries. It was overall simply something to keep him busy, but he didn't really care, it payed good and was easy. It took him a few minutes to reach the field, but he realized it wouldn't take more than an hour and a half at the longest to complete this task, so he got to work. Grabbing a bucket of water, he went and started watering the crops and flowers in the small garden that was adjacent to the main field the farmer owned. It took him around thirty minutes and several trips to refill the bucket to make sure he got every plant a good amount. He then made his way over to the field to pick the blueberry crop. He made his way up and down the various rows of bushes, picking blueberries as he went. As far as missions went, these were little more than household chores. He finished quickly enough and then made his way back to the village to claim his pay.

His third mission was to aid an elderly woman in finding a missing locket that she had lost some time yesterday in the village. Luckily for him, they provided a detailed description of the locket, a picture, and a list of places the woman had gone the previous day. His first stop was the market. It was most likely that should the locket not be laying around somewhere, then someone else had already found it and was either keeping it for their own or preparing to sell it for a rather generous profit. He looked around, but did not see nor hear of any signs of the amulet, so he went to the next place on the list, a restaurant on the western wall of the village. He looked around there, under tables, in the bathrooms, in the waiting lounge. It was nowhere to be seen, not even the staff claimed to have seen it. Finally, he had enough of looking for it and decided that if all else failed he would be able to create a replacement easily enough, so he made his way back to the woman's house. When she answered the door, the folly of this mission became clear. The foolish old woman was wearing her necklace. Luckily, he was paid anyways, so he could keep on with his grind.

Eio had been tasked h taking on a few more missions within the village. There had been some indication that he was nearing the allowances for a promotional mission, but he didn't pay attention to the rumors around town. Either way, he had picked up his missions scrolls earlier and was reading them ober and committing any essential knowledge to memory before he started. His initial mission would be to go somewhere in the village and find a cat that can be domesticated for some child who wanted one. It wouldn't be too difficult as he was confident in his ability to capture a simple beast. The hardest part at the beginning, was flying around looking for a feline, but given about an hour he had one in his sights. It was a black can with golden eyes, running across a rooftop. It was a simple task to swoop in and pick the cat up. It seemed friendly enough, so he didnt bother trying to calm it. Once he had it, he just needed to deliver it to its new owner, the boy. After doing so, he accepted his compensation and would move on to take on another mission, perhaps he would get these done in a decent time frame.

It was now time to take on his second mission of the day. He was to give his aid to the owner of a local candy store owner who had trouble moving the large bags of sugar from the backs of trucks to the area he needed them stacked. While Eio didn't know if even he would be adequate to lift the bags and move them as they needed, he did know that he would be able to emulate the atoms required to deconstruct and remake the bags from one location to another using his Kekkei Genkai. When he arrived, he found the truck waiting just where it was said that it would be. He walked over to it, and saw, across the room, where he was supposed to be laying these bags. They were far heavier than he would be able to handle at his current level of strength, so he decided to go with plan two. He decided to forgo the transmuting of the sugar, and just used his growth jutsu instead. His hand growing to a massive size, he was able to pick up all five bags with relative ease and put them all over on the shelf. It was child's play, so he collected his pay and left. Hopefully his next task wouldn't be so simplistic.

His next task would prove to be even more simple than the first. Reading it back over to himself again in a scoff, "A couple on tour from another village wants to see the sites. Help show them the nicer spots in the village to make sure their time here goes smoothly. Be aware that you are to answer any questions that you can about the village if they ask." What a joke. This was the sorriest excuse for a mission he had ever heard of. But, either way, he was getting paid for it, so it was just something he would have to put up with. After greeting the couple at their hotel, he was quick to escort them anywhere they asked, giving them a breakdown of the historical, and present day significance of all the buildings and such. It was really useful to have covered it all in the academy after all. Their last stop was the famed tree of Takigakure. It could be seen from anywhere in the village and was often the first thing people noticed when they came to the village. After telling the couple all about it, he escorted them back to their rooms and collected his pay.

He left the hotel with more money in his pocket and only two missions left to take on today. "A new blacksmith is shorthanded after making a new batch of 50 Kunai andShuriken. You are to help him test the new equipment to make sure they're usable. Are they weighted properly? Will they cut? How accurate are they? The blacksmith has targets and wood blocks set up, but feel free to test these weapons with whatever material you want to." So, he was simply to move to the area and use the kunai and shuriken to make sure they were of decent quality? He could do one better without having to even throw a Kunai. Once he arrived at the shop and was shown to the back, where he would be working, he got straight to work. He needed to go through and look at the atomic makeup of all the weaponry to make sure that the atomic makeup was consistent through out all of them, and if it wasn't he would simply make some adjustments to fix them. It took him two hours almost, but he managed to get them all up to snuff, so to speak. He collected his pay and made his way out of the store, making a mental note to return later to browse their wares.

His final task of the day would surely take him the longest, not out of its difficulty, merely in that it had a time limit that he must abide by. He was to watch a group of children for three hours and keep them entertained. When he arrived to the daycare and was shown in, he realized how simple this would be. He merely needed to keep their minds whirring with wonder and curiosity to keep them from destroying the building they were staying in. He was given a schedule for the day and he had every intention of following it to the tee. Task one, Story time. He told a story of the bijuu, mythical, yet very real beasts that inhabit the earth. Most of the children seemed amazed, but a few seemed frightened. Next came show and tell. This was the easiest one for him as he was able to make a few chemical reactions to keep their attentions drawn to him for hours. They seemed especially fond of neon and the designs he could make using it. After a while, it was time for them to all lay down and do their nap time rituals. It didn't take them long before they were all fast asleep and he was being paid before leaving to return home. Feeling the clinging in his pocket made him believe today's monotony would be worth it.
