Benevolence was a skill he was learning to use towards those outside of his bloodline, and today would be a mighty exercise in that. Gekkido walked down the infinite flight of stairs with the terrible smelling trash in one hand, and rubber ball in the other. He bounced the ball as he jumped down every three steps in a small exercise to improve agility and balance. He was obsessed with improvement of his fighting prowess, and would not miss the chance to turn this boring situation into an opportunity for advancement of his powers. As he continued the never-ending journey, he thought of times where as an orphan he and his friends had so often used the stairways to hide from headmasters and maids. He thought of how they would sneak into the tallest tower in his clan district to look out of the telescope and view the entirety of Kirigakure at night, amazed at what they could see. Omnipotence isn’t God’s most impressive quality; omnipresence is. Why? Because to be able to see all things from all angles at all times simultaneously is to see the world as it truly is. Everyone else sees only a glimpse, a shimmer, a preview of what’s really going on. Gekkido could not help but entertain these philosophical thoughts as he came to the last four flights of stairs. How differently would the world be if those in power could see from inside the perspectives of others? What jutsu existed that could create such a phenomenon? He was aware of none, but jotted down in his memory to investigate such a concept further when the time permitted. He finally reached the bottom of the stairs and snapped out of his intellectual stupor. From the top floor a face appeared out of a window and waved at him as he departed.
