Mini Coup-er [takeover]

Elder #1 (Kozai didn’t know any of their names, they had all been lil’ kids when he had been in his prime) turn to his fellow jackasses and started on some long, faux sad speech on how their kage was no more, and how they would have to proceed solemnly in the best interests of the village. Such bullcrap. Kozai knew these types well enough by now. Convince the people enough that they needed you, and they’d be licking your balls for years. On and on, they droned, setting up their little platforms for their own egos. Not a single one of them honest.

Well, that WAS one of the only things that mattered to Kozai. If you were going to lead, do it like you were on the goddamned battlefield. Don’t hide behind the waves of flesh going out to die for you, drag them along with you to hell, if you had to. Of course, maybe only one or two of these fat shitstains had seen any combat experience within their lifetimes.


Well, why don’t you DO something about it?

From his little corner in the room, Kozai let off an imperceptible little pulse of red light, which mixed perfectly with the dim red lighting of the room.

“And so”, blabbed Elder #5, as they continued, “it is with great honor that we confer the title of kage on N-”

And just like that, his face bubbled up, his flesh turned red, then black, and his body was destroyed. The others gaped at him, then strangled and choked as the same thing began to happen to them. This trick took a bit more chakra than he would have liked, but it was well worth it in the end. Noting the disturbance, the guards outside rushed in, only to be met with the empty seats of the Elders and nothing but the smell of rotting organic matter. With but a swipe of his hand, these intruders too were sent to the peace of oblivion.

Grinning, Kozai raised his hand and the Steel Sand materialized, blowing a hole through the roof and pulling him up to the top. The people below watching the televised broadcast stood in shocked silence.

A tendril of steelsand took the kage hat from the stand where it had been placed, bringing it gently to Kozai’s head. Easy clap.

“No more weakness. Now is the time for strength.” He raised his hand, and lit up the evening sky with sheer power. With the elimination of the elders system, the site would be ruled from this point onward by shinobi alone.

Ko was drifting through the market, adorning his usual white attire. The boy was intending to gather supplies and enjoy the day off, when tragedy struck Kumogakure. His attention was diverted from shopping to a live broadcast of the assassination of the elders. Which was performed by none other than a fellow shinobi of the village. Upon hearing this, the Kaguyan snatched a tattered cloak from a poorer stand before slamming down some money and making his way through the frightened crowd.

As he proceeded through the crowd, Ko'Oni could sense the fear and trepidation radiating from them. I really should help direct and evacuate them. Thoughts momentarily flooded his head as to how many lives could be lost, before snapping back to the main  issue. But he should be my top priority. Continuing to weave through the crowd and growing closer to the Kage tower, Ko performed the basic Clone Technique. In which the clone scaled the building behind Kozai before speaking, "Why do this old man?" His words paused briefly before demanding, "What is your endgame?" His positioning was so that he would seem real, due to the fact that he was still and Ko was pitching his voice to appear as if the clone was talking. This made it near impossible to distinguish without dojutsu, albeit the missing shadow was the only other way to notice. The cloak's hood, hid the face of the clone as well as making it hard to distinguish Ko'Oni in the crowd.

Kozai eyed the clone. Some Kaguya clan brat wanted to approach him from range without revealing himself? The nerve on the brats these days. He raised his hand toward the crowd, and they grew silent. Those with chakra vision or refined sensory could easily tell that he was preparing something. He'd come prepared for this eventuality, of course. There'd be people who were resistant to change. Lord knew he'd been, too. But change always came, especially when people hated it the most. So he'd change this village, too, even if it meant that they'd all hate him in the end. Fucking kids; they'd thank him for it later.

"Get your ass up here. Your REAL one. If you think you can talk to me through a clone, you're going to watch some of this rabble burn." He'd make it clear that if this punk didn't meet him face to face, he'd immolate some of the "innocent" civilians below. Civilians who, in their frustration at being ruled, had created the system of Elders to rule both them and the shinobi. Old foxes, who had no real power of their own than what was given to them by the equally powerless people. Pathetic.

The extended hand would indicate where he was aiming (directly into the crowd) but that was something he could change at any time.

Sensing the murderous intent, Ko knew the man to be serious but attempted to keep his calm facade. I should have known that wouldn't work on him, what else then. He pondered briefly before utilizing the tree Climbing Technique and scaled the wall behind the clone. "Ok, you caught me." The voice still resonated from the clone as it lifted it's head to the side with his iconic sly and mischievous grin directed towards Kozai.

In that instant, the Kaguyan leaped up behind his clone while simultaneously swinging his right arm upwards in a diagonal motion. Doing so allowed him to use the force in order to fire two bone bullets at different intervals. Being fired through the clone before it dispersed and aimed at Kozai's left knee while the other targets his right shoulder. After doing so he lands on the building in a defensive position, utilizing the wing Chun stance in combination with the hand positioning of Tánglángquán. He came to the conclusion that he was heavily outmatched and decided this stance may be the best for his situation.
