A ghost tattooed on the inner side of upper left arm. Most members are scarred physically and/or mentally. When traveling outside the hide out, most members wear gray hooded cloaks for anonymity.
Purpose: Ultimately, individual revenge. Each member has the complete support of the entire group to exact revenge, often on those they trusted but have ultimately abandoned, betrayed, and/or forgotten them, but not always.

Retrieval team- An elite team of 3 that extracts prisoners of war from any and every village if need be.

History:
The story begins twenty years ago with a man named Toshiko. He was a promising jounin. He and his team were sent on a recon mission which would influence his village's decision to attack or continue preparations. Their mission was compromised, leading to a conflict behind enemy lines that they weren't prepared for. In the heat of battle, his two team mates, whom he trusted with his life, turned tail and escaped to save themselves. Abandoned, he was captured and tortured for information, which he refused to give up. He held strong that his team had made a tactical retreat, but would return with reinforcements to save him. That day never came.

His time as a prisoner of war was about as miserable as imaginable. His hope slowly faded with years. His pride and loyalty to his village weakened until it failed entirely. Disillusioned, he resigned to his fate. Toshiko refused any attempts to keep him alive. His hatred for both his captors and his village consumed him.

Then he got an idea. Instead of accepting his fate as someone abandoned and forgotten, doomed to die miserable and broken for undeserving cowards, perhaps he could get justice for himself. He'd only ever been loyal and trusting. He at least deserved to die with a soothed heart, or he'd become a ghost.

A chance was presented. His guards, comfortable that he'd given up, let their attention wander. He wrenched himself free from his shackles, severing a hand in the process. Taking his freedom, he took to hiding and plotting his revenge.

After taking time to recover, he patiently hunted and killed the team mates that replaced him. The feeling was indescribably satisfying. But now it was over, and he was still living. He wanted to prolong this satisfaction, so he founded the Wasuremono Organization.

The first few members he retrieved himself. Any time he caught wind of prisoners of war, he made it his mission to free them, then recruit them. The very ideals instilled in all shinobi had failed people like himself, and those broken people he wanted to help reclaim their worth and humanity. He'd make a new family, one truly built on trust, where they all worked together for each others' sakes.
